1 - number of monarch butterfly eggs on our milkweed as of this morning

3.11⁹ - the amount of dollars and cents per gallon I paid to fill my car yesterday

4 - number of days I've spent looking for the remote to my old stereo (still haven't found it)

5 - number of clocks I have in my bedroom, not including my watch. Why, I do not know; I just like clocks

8 - number of meteorites I saw at Cherry Springs Park a few weeks ago

16 - minimum number of single-spaced pages I had to write for my graduate class (who wants to grade things that are single-spaced? Just tell me I need to write 32 pages and get it over with). I met the minimum requirement.

27 - number of bobby pins it took to keep my hair in place for the wedding

32 - number of mosquito bites I had on my legs as of last night

36 - number of miles per gallon my Ford Escort got after my last trip to Lancaster
