"Cocaine is God's way of saying you're making too much money." - Robin Williams
Curse you, strawberry licorice, for your addictiveness and soda-slurping fun factor. Between the artificial flavoring and the reminder that I am no longer twelve and able to handle such creative confectionary feats, I feel quite ill. Get thee back to the kitchen. :P
I can't agree more...
Date: 2004-08-09 01:18 am (UTC)From:Hellooo. How are you. Not in an attempt to sound like a stalker or anything, but I was once looking at people with common interests and yours happened to come up in the "Rose Is Rose" area. And I took a liking to how you explained things, and what you had to say. But this one takes the cake...
It definitely sounds like something that can happen when you have a bit too much creativity, and an exceptional amount of fake, sugar induced energy.

P.S. I hope the aftermath of that trip down memory lane was worth it's weight in gold.

Date: 2004-08-09 02:09 am (UTC)From:And it's true, the trip down memory lane was definitely worth it. For a moment I was that little girl, sitting in the grass with my cousins, drinking root beer through soggy licorice. I recommend the experience to everybody. Except, maybe, the drinking until you nearly explode bit. :^D
Mind if I friend you?
Childhood can be dangerous, or do we just make it that way...?
Date: 2004-08-10 12:19 am (UTC)From:Ahh, the icon was actually from a Valentines Day thing at Comics.com (which I highly recommend, it brings me Rose is Rose daily) about a year ago and saved it. Was just the right size for an icon, so I went with it.
But myyy childhood candy would have to be Lik a Stik... There's nothing like using a sugar stick to spoon out piles of flavored sugar. I still have them to this day, but they're getting harder and harder to find. I had forgotten about them until I was picking up some friends from the airport in Boston and we stopped for gas. And there they were... I think I spent $10 on candy alone that night. But, I was the envy of all at work the next day with my green tongue from the color changing pouch.
I wouldn't mind at all if your friended me. But only if I can friend you. I've actually been reading your journal off and on for a while, but could never think of anything good enough to say about it till now...

P.S. My posting is scetchy at best. It tends to be completely random about the subject matter, and the frequency of posts. I need to apologize in advance...

It's very nice to meet you! :^D
