1.) I was pretty bummed this past Monday when I remembered that there wasn't any more Chuck to be had for the season. Well, hopefully it's just for the season. ::sigh:: I even got my family Subway on finale night, and the episodes hold up to frequent re-watching. Here's looking forward to the season two dvd set coming out in the future.

2.) I can't say the same for Heroes. I mean, I enjoyed the cracktasticness that was this season for the most part, but I've long since stopped keeping up with any fan-related shenanigans for this show. If it hadn't been for [livejournal.com profile] seraphtrevs and The 10th Wonder podcast, I probably would've missed an episode or two and never gotten back into watching it. I'll still be watching it next year, but I doubt I'll ever be invested in any of the characters or storylines again (prove me wrong, writers!).

3.) My cousin convinced me to borrow his Lost season 1 dvd set - oh lord, someone save me from getting involved in another tv series!

4.) At least I can still look forward to a couple more episodes of Castle - it's really cute.

5.) It's finally stopped raining! There was actual sunshine today, and I washed my car for the second time in a month. Good day. :)

6.) And now for some

Eeee, rainbow! And froggy! :D

I understand where you're coming from with Heroes - it's like, even when I'm enjoying it (maybe even especially when I'm enjoying it), I know that the other shoe could drop any minute and they'll do something incredibly stupid and it just kills me a little inside, every time. :( So it's hard to just really sit back and enjoy the way I did in seasons 1 and 2.

Ahahaha, Lost! That's so weird - Brian and I are in the middle of watching season 3 right now! We watched the first two seasons, but then missed the beginning of season 3, and it's one of those shows where you can't miss a single ep or else you'll be hopelessly confused. Anyway, we never got around to catching up, and now that all our shows are wrapping up, we decided to Netflix it. So yay, Lost - you should watch it! Season 1 is mind-blowingly good.

PS - Do you want to chat tomorrow?

re: Heroes - yes, exactly! It kind of reminds me how we got jerked around watching the X-Files. There was always something that kept us crawling back each week, or at least until we couldn't take it anymore. It also hurts because we had such an incredibly high amount of excitement for season three last summer. And don't get me wrong, this season had its very exciting and enjoyable moments, but it's not enough to keep me interested in the fandom side of things. Outside of reading your stories, there just isn't anything that interests me - and I'm okay with that. Heck, it's a huge time-saver, if I'm being honest. :)

In light of that feeling, I'm a little reluctant to start watching Lost. Three shows at a time had me kind of maxed out this spring, and I'm still enjoying Firefly on top of that. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll try Lost, if for no other reason than to make my cousin happy.

Oh, and as far as tomorrow goes, I'm still not sure what our Mother's Day plans are. How about Monday night? I don't have to be up at the crack of dawn on Tuesday, and it'll give me something to do before Castle comes on. :D?

Oh God, The X-Files - so much heartbreak. D: I don't think I'll ever end up completely jumping ship on Heroes the same way I did for XF, because there's always at least one storyline or character that holds my interest. With the X-Files, you basically just had the one plot (plus the standalones), and once that went rotten, there wasn't anything left to stick around for. But yeah, it's hard to feel as enthused about fandom when the source material is disappointing. Which is a shame, because I think the show still has a lot of fannist potential.

Ahaha, I totally understand about not wanting to have too many shows - it gets exhausting!

I completely forgot tomorrow was Mother's Day! *headdesk* Yeah, Monday sounds good!

GET INVESTED!!!!!! It's the single greatest thing EVER. I started watching from the beginning last August, and finished watching all four seasons by a few days after New Year's. Watch it. Love it. It's the best show I've ever seen. It forces you to pay attention, to analyze, to remember things... it's amazing. It's a little slow in season 2 (but still really important), and the first few episodes of season 3 are atrocious, but every single other thing is amazing, and season four is the single best season of anything I have ever seen. I can't recommend it enough. <3

Sadly, I think discovering the greatness of Lost was also a factor in why I stopped watching Heroes. Seeing how good television CAN be just made Heroes's flaws seem all the greater.

Ahahaha! So there’s another vote for “yes” for Lost! I can also totally see how watching a bona fide great show could turn you off from Heroes. I’ll keep watching Heroes just out of idle curiosity, but it’s really time for something new. I'm sure I'll be able to find some time for Lost as soon as this school year wraps up. :D
