Yay, it's Monday! >:D

Once again, it's tv night for me. To while away the time (I didn't have to work today, so yay?), I'm all set to do some household things, which is absolutely fine by me. I will, however, be doing so all bundled up in sweaters since it's only 26^oF (-3^oC) out, and our furnace is shut off. D:

See, every time the oil company delivers oil to our house, the new oil stirs up sediments in the tank that come up and clog the furnace. EVERY TIME. We've requested that they company call ahead to tell us when they're making their delivery so we can shut off the furnace and let the sediment settle, but they refuse to do it. I don't know why - I hate them so much. So that usually means that we have to wait 6-12 hours for an available service man to come out and clean the grit out of the furnace so that it can actually heat things up enough so the water pipes don't freeze, and of course it happens on the coldest nights of the year. It's just the way things work, apparently.

Luckily, I glanced out the window and saw the delivery man put the receipt for the oil drop in our mailbox, and I rushed to turn off the furnace. I don't know if I was in time, and I have to wait a few hours for the sediment to settle down before I can turn it back on to see if it worked. In the meantime - brrr?

OIL COMPANY!! ::shakes fist:: Isn't it enough that an oil delivery is over $500.00? You have to have poor customer service, too?

ETA: It worked! We've got heat, so it's nice and toasty in time for an evening of relaxation. :D
