From this week's thefridayfive:
1. What was your first job?
I worked at an amusement park in high school.
2. How much did you make?
$5.10/hour the first summer; $5.25/hour the second summer.
3. Describe your least favorite co-worker of all time.
I can't really think of co-workers off-hand... I had a supervisor once who had real power/control issues who liked to take it out on me when I was a new hire. I think it was because I was going for my degree while she had to work the over-night stocking job probably for the rest of her life. I guess I'd be pissy, too, if that was my future.
4. What is your dream job?
To be a trail guide at a national park somewhere west of the Appalachians. Heck, west of the Mississippi River, while we're at it...
5. What do you currently do and do you like it?
I'm a substitute teacher in an over-crowded school district that's still expanding. How much longer I'll have that job, I don't know, as the budget is being cut for the upcoming school year. Usually I don't mind the job, but sometimes it's really stressful. The pay is pretty crappy, too, but I get on all right since I moved back home. My goal is to get the majority of my student loans paid off so that I can move out of state somewhere.
In other news, my uncle has been back in the hospital this past week after he fell and broke his leg. He had surgery to screw the bones back together, but I can't imagine that he'll be out of there any time soon. It's always something, isn't it...
