From this week's thefridayfive:
1. You have the summer and plenty of money to travel abroad. Where all would you go?
I'm going to narrow it all down to two things (one summer is not really long enough, you know). I'd like to go see the Grand Canyon and Alaska.
2. What foods would you be sure you got to eat?
Well, I'll try most anything at least once, except for really hot things. I'm a total pansy when it comes to foods that can cause a person pain.
3. What landmarks would you be sure you got to see?
Any kind of scenery or national preserve.
4. What airline would you use?
I have no idea. I'm not a big fan of flying, to tell you the truth.
5. Would your knowledge of other languages influence where you went? (i.e. would you be more likely to go to France if you spoke French?)
It would if I knew any other languages besides English and a smattering of French. In which case, I'd probably grab up a teach-yourself CD to learn some handy phrases or take one of the ESL kids I teach to give me a tour. I've already been given an offer of a tour of Cairo someday, which would be pretty cool. :-)
